http://community.enhancetv.com.au/

To encourage you to participate in the Community, we¹re giving away an iPod Nano 8GB to one lucky member who introduces themselves in our new "Introductions" Forum. Please let us know who you are and where you¹re from, what subject area you teach, and what's the last program you used in class. You can also invite colleagues to join so they can enter too. TWO IN THE TOP END (Re-screening on ABC2 on Wednesday at 11.20pm)

In this informative and entertaining series, Tim Flannery and John Doyle embark on a 4000-kilometre odyssey across the top of the continent. They discover massive modern mines and vast irrigation systems, mango farms and cattle ranches, rugged savannah and ancient fossil fields. It's a pristine natural world bursting with life but facing threats from the seemingly irresistible urge towards greater and greater development. Essentially Two in the Top End is about the past, the present and the future, and while the tone is often light-hearted, its central quest is to address the big global issues of development and sustainability. Two in the Top End could be well used at a senior primary level, and in junior and middle secondary Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE/HSIE, Humanities: Geography, Geology) and Environmental Studies.

In early 2002, Foreign Correspondent's Mark Corcoran was in the southern Province of Kandahar, where he encountered two warlords who had become the key players in Washington's strategy to eliminate the Taliban. Now Corcoran has returned to the war zone to discover they've both taken very different paths.

AS IT HAPPENED: WORLD WAR II - BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, EP 6 OF 6

How was it possible for Churchill and Roosevelt to deal with one tyrant, Joseph Stalin, in order to help beat another, Adolf Hitler? That's one of the key questions at the heart of this six-part history series. Using dramatic reconstructions, based on extensive research in Russian and Western archives, and extraordinary testimony from witnesses, this series tells a 'behind closed doors' history. This episode looks at the end of WWII, the Allies negotiations with Stalin, and the post-war era.
